PTC 2016: Reimagining Telecoms

The next annual PTC conference, which runs from 17 to 20 of January in Hawaii, is unmissable for any stakeholder in the communications ecosystem who wants to truly understand how our industry is changing, and what this change means for their future.

No one should be in any doubt that we are standing at an important threshold in the evolution of global telecommunications. Decisions made today will affect pretty much everyone on the planet for the foreseeable. The discussion is no longer about how to connect our world. That job’s done. The dialogue from here needs to be about how that connected world is being transformed by mobility, big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things and cybersecurity. It’s about how all these issues relate intimately to each other, between them promising to revolutionise how all of us live our lives.

PTC’16 will feature an outstanding and unique programme of sessions, roundtables and talks over three days that will shake up the thinking of all delegates, demanding that they reconsider what’s possible and where true potential and possibility lie.

With the theme of Reimagining Telecoms, the event will offer pointers to how all us of can reshape strategies and business models, retool products and services and reinvigorate customer relationships.

At Ilex Content Strategies, we’re as excited as anybody about this PTC. We’ll be there, talking as passionately as ever about what we know best – marketing, content and PR.

We’ll be moderating on a couple of unmissable panels. One will tackle developments in the cloud, now that cloud services are poised for a new wave of growth. The sector is now in the mainstream, and that means it’s time to talk about what the next wave of cloud innovation will look like and how we can get ready for it.

Our other session will centre on the challenges facing carrier businesses. With old revenue streams in worldwide decline, what are the new areas for opportunity? What trends are driving the profitability of tomorrow? How can carrier businesses be reimagined to take advantage of important growth areas of the future?

Every session at PTC’16 will offer a platform to help you focus on planning for this future, and every break, reception and mealtime is a chance to network and mix it up with what could turn out to be a key partner for tomorrow.

See you at PTC’16 to talk about a new era for our planet.
