Like many students, after two years studying Marketing at University I was keen to see how everything I had learned could be applied in the real world. When browsing for placement opportunities I came across the Ilex Content internship and it offered exactly what I was looking for.
I have now completed my third month at Ilex and it has already exceeded my expectations. Although university has so far provided me with valuable knowledge, it is my internship with Ilex that has helped me to truly apply and nurture this information and turn it into a catalyst for my future success.
There are four things that I believe make the Ilex internship unique:
1. Expertise – Content marketing is a true skill and at Ilex I am surrounded by experts. The team have been working and writing content within the tech and telecoms industry for a long time, and truly understand what is needed to execute successfully. This expertise is shared at every opportunity and has truly helped me to build on my work, making it better than the time before.
2. Understanding – Tech and telecoms is not an easy industry to get your head around, and neither is writing content that is completely compelling and captivating on your first go. Ilex understood this and did not expect me to be an expert in this complex industry, instead it gave me the time and help needed to comprehend its client’s products and expectations.
3. Exposure – The exposure Ilex has offered me is immeasurable and unlike anything I could have ever expected. In three months I have been exposed to multiple areas of content creation ranging from writing thought leadership articles to advertising copy and sales brochures. The most exciting thing is that these pieces of content are not just for one business but instead are for different clients spanning the entire world.
4. Trust – With that amount of exposure comes trust. Ilex truly trust me to deliver and believe in my capabilities. Over the past three months this trust has helped me build confidence and produce high level pieces of content within a short time frame.
Ilex are truly helping me in my success now and for the future, and I am excited to see what other opportunities and experience it will offer me over the next nine months.
